Along with the development of industrial printing systems, the need for 100% control of print quality is born. Paper, Metal, Plastic, even carpet surfaces can be printed digitally. The bad print quality affects the total quality of the product, and the product with the printing error can not be on the shelves. As a result, unnoticed print defects can lead to huge cost and prestige losses. Furthermore, it is unthinkable not to control the printing, especially when a single point itself is meaningful as in the medical sector, mints, ticket printing etc.Many printed products (labels, currency, tickets, commercial publications, newspaper, pharmaceutical and food packaging, and more)

Many sectors apply printing processes from paper to cardboard, from plastic to glass packaging, from uncut sheets of metal to fabric surfaces. For all these sectors, we set up camera control stations that automatically improve print quality.

The printing process can be done in many different ways, but it is commonly seen as transfer from the cylinder surfaces, printing from ink or laser printer. Because of the nature of the process being carried out, the printing is often carried out while on the conveyor. For such cases we have line scan solutions. We work with area-scan cameras to inspect printing from stationary still surfaces. In both cases, with proper lighting, and very high resolution cameras, we can catch any kind of printing error.

In some cases, an offline comparison of a single image with the combined submultiplied image is desired before the printing operation. Thus, if there is a mistake in the system, thet are detected before printing, and cost and time lost are prevented beforehand.

In compliance with the globalizing world, producers today have to produce the same product by repeatedly pressing the same product in many different languages.

Difficulties in interpreting mistakes with human eyes especially in languages such as russian and arabic, difficulty in visually examining very large surfaces, and high printing speeds make machine vision a necessity in print inspection systems.

At AKU, we build advanced print inspection systems that can be taught by the end user, systems that machine learning techniques (show the faultless products and the faults and and let it learn on its own) are used. We offer economical solutions with units (workstations) that can perform print inspection operations either totaly on the machine or on a sampling basis.
